Andrew "Andy" Rheingold (born February 11, 1971; age 51) is a former SpongeBob SquarePants crew member, where he worked as an executive in charge of production of "Help Wanted."

While developing SpongeBob, Andy got his first writing break - at MTV.

After the success of SpongeBob and Beavis and Butt-Head, Andy was hired as a full time staff writer for MTV Networks.

Between his TV gigs, Andy writes feature films and he has sold scripts to Paramount Pictures, Disney Features, and Nickelodeon Movies. He has authored two original children's books - When Guinea Pigs Fly for Scholastic and Rupert and His 99 Sisters. Later, Andy wrote The Little Spirit, an hour long animated Christmas special for NBC starring Danny Devito. The movie premiered during the 2008 holiday season.
