Elizabeth Hess (born July 17, 1953 in Ontario, Canada) is an actress known for her role as Janet Darling on Clarissa Explains It All. She has performed in regional theater along with working on and off-Broadway. She portrayed the role of Renee in the Tony-Award-winning production of "M. Butterfly." She also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Today, Elizabeth teaches acting at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and Fordham University at Lincoln.
