Mosquito "Skeeter" Valentine is Doug Funnie's best friend from Doug. He is famous for the honking sounds he frequently makes and his Mickey Mouse-esque voice. In the series premiere, Skeeter befriends Doug after helping him order food at the Honker Burger, and later helps Doug learn how to dance in a 70's disco style in "Doug Can't Dance". In "Doug's Comic Collaboration", it is revealed that Skeeter has an imaginary superhero alter-ego, whom he calls the Silver Skeeter (a reference to Silver Surfer). Skeeter is also highly intelligent (much to Doug's discomfort), later gaining the respect of geeky twin brothers Al and Moo. Skeeter was voiced by American foley artist and voice actor Fred Newman.
