Encino is an affluent neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. It is home to the Los Encinos State Historic Park and the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area and has approximately 3,800 businesses employing about 27,000 people. It has been the home to many notable people, including David Hasselhoff, Mickey Rooney, Annette Funicello, and Phil Hartman.
In SpongeBob SquarePants, Encino is the hometown of the live-action characters Patchy the Pirate and Potty the Parrot, seen in almost every episode in which the characters appear.
