Melissa Joan Catherine Hart (born April 18, 1976) is an American actress, producer, and director. Hart is perhaps best known for her title roles in the television series Clarissa Explains It All (19911994) and the live-action version of Sabrina the Teenage Witch (19962003), and Melissa & Joey (2010-2015).

As one of Nickelodeon's earliest stars, her role as Clarissa Darling in Clarissa Explains It All led her to appearances on other Nickelodeon shows and involvement in the show's merchandise. This included recording songs for the album Clarissa and the Straightjackets: This is What "Na Na" Means.

Her appearances include as herself on Nick Arcade in the season two premiere with her Clarissa castmates, as Daphne in the Are You Afraid of the Dark? episode "The Tale of the Frozen Ghost", and again as herself in the Weinerville Election Special. She also appeared as herself in the All That 100th episode special in a "Good Burger" sketch and guest star on the second episode of Season 7 of All That.

She was nominated six times for Favorite Television Actress at the Kids' Choice Awards for her work on Sabrina the Teenage Witch from 1998 to 2003, and won in 1998. In 2000, she also was nominated for Favorite Movie Actress for her role as Nicole Maris in Drive Me Crazy.

Hart officially returned to Nickelodeon as a cast member on The Loud House and its spin-off The Casagrandes, in which she voices Becca Chang.
