LaTangela (born Missy Newsome on July 24, 1984 in Florida) is a actress\singer known for her role as Martiza Hogg on the Nickelodeon TV series Taina.

Acting Career

LaTangela has appeared in music videos for artists such as Mariah Carey ("Fantasy"), Jodeci ("Get On Up"), Subway ("I'll Make Your Dreams Come True") and Deborah Cox ("Where Do We Go From Here").

She is a member of the City Kids Repertory Group in Manhattan, New York. Her last acting role to date was in 2008 in the movie "The Rimshop."

Singing Career

LaTangela recorded tracks for the "Taina" television show soundtrack. She also appeared on "Showtime in Harlem" singing Chaka Khan's song "Through the Fire."

In 2011, she released her debut single "Imma Do Me" under her own label SilverShadow Productions (alongside Island Def Jam Digital) which is available on iTunes and the music video can be seen on YouTube.
