Nicktoonsters is a television channel in the United Kingdom launched on 18 August 2008 on the Sky Digital network on Channel 630. It is a spinoff channel for NickToons from Nickelodeon in the UK. Its licence first appeared on the 'OFCOM' website in September 2007 (initially named "Nick Toons 2", this was changed to Nick Toonsters on 3 July 2008). [1] Nicktoonsters is for 5-8 year olds and shows old Cartoons from Nicktoons and broadcasts from 7am to 7pm. The channel timeshares with Comedy Central Extra +1, The 1-hour timeshift service of Comedy Central Extra which was reduced hours from 4 August 2008.

The channel launched with a Rugrats marathon week before commencing its regular schedule, at first exclusively formed of "classic" shows. In more recent months, Nickelodeon has added screenings of newer programmes such as Fairly Odd Parents and SpongeBob SquarePants on holidays and weekends.

Nicktoonsters's format is similar to POP, which also shows archived children's television programming.
