Contents

[edit] Summary

  • The Nickelodeon Wiki is here to contain information about Nickelodeon and its creations.
  • If a link to Wikipedia or another, more appropriate Wikia would suffice, it would probably be best to use that link instead of creating a page here.

[edit] Definition of Scope

[edit] Nickelodeon properties

  • Any property owned or controlled by Nickelodeon may and should be included in this wiki. This includes television series, feature and made-for-TV films, shorts, advertising, books, web material, and any other form of property.
  • Any aspect of any property owned or controlled by Nickelodeon may be included in this wiki. This includes episode details (though not transcripts), characters, notable items, continuing storylines/running jokes, and any other aspect of any property that may be deemed deserving of its own article.

[edit] Non-Nickelodeon properties

  • Any property neither owned nor controlled by Nickelodeon may be included in this wiki, if it has been shown in syndication on Nickelodeon or one of its spin-off networks.
  • Aspects of properties neither owned nor controlled by nickelodeon should not be included in this wiki. Instead, please direct any such links to Wikipedia or another appropriate Wikia.

[edit] The Real World

  • Topics from the real world, such as actors, places, or entertainment companies should only be included as they relate to Nickelodeon and its properties.
    • People should only be included if they are directly and regularly involved with a Nickelodeon-owned property. Solitary guest appearances and those involved merely with a property that has been shown in syndication on a Nickelodeon channel should not be included.
    • Entertainment companies should only be included if they are directly involved with a Nickelodeon-owned property. Nickelodeon parent companies may be included as they relate to Nickelodeon, but other entertainment companies owned by these parent companies should not be included.
    • Real-world places should only be included as they apply to Nickelodeon and its properties. Unrelated real-world details, such as population, major industry, or tourist destinations, should not be included.
  • All real-world articles should include a link to their appropriate Wikipedia article. (It is also a good idea to include a link in the Wikipedia article back to the appropriate article here.)
  • Definitions of entertainment-industry terms, such as cartoon or anime, may be included here, but only as they relate to Nickelodeon and to define the term itself. A history of Warner Brothers' cartoons, for example, should not be included.
